Verdict: Found Not Guilty by Jury
Defendant was charged with Battery to a female attorney arising from a parking dispute. Attorney Purav Bhatt was able to obtain surveillance video footage of the incident and successfully argued to the jury that it was in fact the female attorney who committed the battery and not the defendant. The jury concluded that the female attorney walked up to the defendant and headbutted him, then coordinated accusations with the maintenance man of a building nearby to have the defendant arrested.
Attorney Bhatt, through obtaining the video and cross examination of the witnesses convinced the jury that the female attorney was, in fact, the aggressor.
Jury returned a verdict of “Not Guilty” in less than an hour.
