My client Dante Ferguson is a teenage who was arrested and charged with multiple residential burglary charges under 720 ILCS 5/19-3 across Will and Grundy counties. After almost a year of litigation and negotiations, the judge saw fit to sentence my client to TASC probation and allowing him a second chance to turn his life around. Everyone makes mistakes, especially early in one’s life. My belief has always been that a person should not have to suffer his entire life for a poor decision he makes in his teens. See the story below….
Will County man has received probation instead of prison time for his role in committing several residential burglaries in Morris. The Grundy County States Attorney’s Office made the recommendation that Dante Ferguson, 20, of Preston Heights receive four years in prison, but Judge Rob Marsaglia gave him five years of Tasc probation and 180 days in the county jail.
Ferguson along with three other Will County men burglarized nine homes between December of 2013 and January of 2014 in the areas of Lisbon Road and Meadowbrook Lane. By pleading guilty to four counts of residential burglary, Ferguson must also pay several fines and restitution of $968.
