Description: R.E. was a client who was arrested during the execution of a search warrant of his home. Police found 8,000 grams of cannabis, prescription pills and paraphernalia. R.E. was facing two consecutive Class X felony sentences (12 years). Attorney Bhatt challenged the execution of the search warrant and after months of litigation, secured a 3 year sentence for R.E. Attorney Bhatt also convinced the court to give R.E. credit for his time served on house arrest and the court determined that R.E.’s sentence was served in total while on house arrest.
