Description: K.S. was charged felony aggravated sexual abuse while driving a cab. K.S. was innocent of the allegations that he sexually abused his mentally ill passenger. Mr. Bhatt believed in K.S.’s innocence and believed he did not commit the crime. The witness was mentally ill and after a bench trial and Mr. Bhatt’s cross examination of the witnesses, the court determined that the witness’s testimony was not reliable and found K.S. not guilty. K.S. avoided a significant prison sentence and a lifetime registration on the sex offender registry.
